Inside AKT Revision

Forgetting is the enemy.
We schedule against it.

Answering thousands of questions once proves stamina, not knowledge. The engine models what you know, catches it as it fades, and turns every day into one concrete instruction — with your exam date as the deadline.

The premise

Most banks hand you five thousand questions and wish you luck. Ours schedules them— important knowledge returns before it fades, often through a fresh clinical variant, and stops costing you time once it’s truly yours.

“The spacing effect is one of the most replicated findings in learning science. It’s also the one revision habit nobody keeps by hand.”
Why an engine, not willpower
Confidence-based marking

Right answers lie. Confidence tells the truth.

A correct guess and a correct certainty look identical on a score sheet — and they’re worlds apart in an exam hall. Before every answer is marked, you say how sure you were. The engine listens.

Sure

Right and sure: Real knowledge. The engine stretches the gap — you've earned the longest interval.

Think so

Right but unsure: Fragile knowledge. A normal interval, and the engine keeps an eye on it.

Guessing

Right while guessing: Luck, not knowledge. Treated almost like a miss — it comes back soon.

The killer stat: Confidently wrong

Answers you were sure about and still got wrong are the most dangerous thing in your revision — they walk into the exam with you. They jump the review queue, and your calibration chart shows whether your confidence can be trusted yet.

Five-state mastery

Every question knows exactly where it stands.

Not a green tick or a grey dot — a live memory model per question. Mastered means proven on two occasions at least three days apart, because cramming twice in an evening proves nothing about exam day.

Unseen

Never attempted. The planner feeds these in at a pace your exam date can afford.

Incorrect

Answered, never right. Back within 10 minutes for another go while the context is warm.

Learning

Right once — but once isn't knowing. Scheduled again to prove it holds.

Mastered

Right on two occasions at least three days apart. Established — and cheap to maintain.

Decaying

Mastered, but overdue for review. The engine flags it before it quietly becomes forgotten.

The five states roll up into a per-topic mastery map — so “how’s my dermatology?” has a real answer, not a feeling.

The daily plan

One concrete instruction. Every single day.

“Do some revision” is how evenings disappear. The engine turns your exam date, your coverage and your weak spots into a number and a name: This many new questions, this many bounded reviews, this topic first.

  • New coverage first; due questions appear as green bonus cards and count towards a review goal capped at ten.
  • New questions paced so the bank is covered with runway to spare — the final stretch is reserved for consolidation.
  • A focus topic with its reason shown: Your weakest measured area, or the one you flagged at onboarding.
  • Holding AKT Learn too? Weak quiz and completed mock areas can surface the matching Learn course. Learn activity never changes your AKT score or question plan.

The readiness verdict

“Am I ready?” — answered like a receipt.

One blended score, judged against the AKT’s published pass marks — and every input itemised, because a readiness number you can’t audit is just a mood.

  • Mocks weigh heaviest — timed, exam-format, no feedback mid-flight. The strongest signal there is.
  • Thin coverage drags the score toward the pass-mark line — 200 questions can’t promise you a pass, and we won’t pretend otherwise.
  • No verdict at all until there’s enough data to mean something. An honest “too early to say” beats a flattering guess.

“Your strongest recent area is Respiratory health at 78% across the 28-day window of scored Question Bank answers and completed mock questions, giving you a genuine success to build on. In the Question Bank, you answered 24 questions yesterday and 180 across the last week at 72% correct. Learn records 2 completed skills and 8 check answers yesterday, with 9 skills and 36 check answers across the last week. The available readiness estimate places you on track at 74%, which is encouraging guidance rather than an exam guarantee. Mental health is your current focus opportunity at 50% across the same 28-day evidence window. Today, complete a short new Question Bank set there; due reviews can appear as green bonus questions within it.”

Every number and allowed sentence is grounded in computed evidence first; an update containing an unverified figure never ships.
