We are a small team of UK GPs. We built AKT Revision the way we build everything: affordable, up to date, and made by people who have actually sat the exam.
Across our CSA and SCA platforms, we have helped more than 11,000 GP trainees get through their exams.

Where we started
It began in 2019, with a different exam. When we were revising for our own MRCGP exam, the good materials were either outdated books or online courses that cost too much. So we built our own. We called it CSA Revision. It was affordable, up to date, and written for the exam we were actually sitting.
Over four years, CSA Revision helped more than 2,000 doctors pass.
Then everything changed
In 2020, COVID changed the exams. The RCGP stopped the CSA exam. Our resource was suddenly no longer needed, so we closed it. But we kept everything we had learned.
Coming back as SCA Revision
In 2023 the RCGP brought in a new exam: the SCA. We knew exactly how to help. We launched SCA Revision, and set out to build the best SCA revision resource anywhere. Today it is the UK’s most-used SCA platform, trusted by more than 9,000 GP trainees.
Why we built AKT Revision
Our members kept asking us one thing: can you do this for the AKT too?
It made sense. Most GP trainees sit both exams. And the AKT had just changed — from October 2025 it became a shorter, tighter test of 160 questions in 160 minutes. It needed a fresh bank, built for the new format. So we built one.
AKT Revision is a separate product, with its own subscription. But it is the same team, with the same standards.
What we believe
By GPs, for GPs
Every question and explanation is written by GPs who have passed the MRCGP exam, and who now train, supervise and examine registrars.
Affordable
We started because revision should not cost more than the exam itself. That principle has not changed in six years.
Always current
Our content is checked against current UK guidance — NICE, CKS, BNF and the other named sources — and updated as the guidance changes.
Honest about limits
We will never claim our questions are the real exam. They are the closest, most realistic practice we can build. That is the whole job.
Original content
Every question is written from scratch by our team. We take our professional integrity seriously, and would never offer an unfair advantage.
An engine, not a PDF dump
Spaced repetition, confidence marking and mastery tracking do the hard work for you. The questions are what the engine feeds you.
We even built our own AI
For SCA Revision, we did not plug into someone else’s chatbot. We built our own AI from the ground up, so we could control the cost, the accuracy and the feel. Now we are bringing that same approach to AKT Revision. The AKT Tutor checks guidance-dependent details against our reviewed revision material, corrects false premises and says when the available material does not support a firm answer. Stable medical explanations may also use the model’s general knowledge, so every reply remains a revision aid rather than clinical advice.
