The service

AKT Revision provides revision questions, fact sheets, courses and progress tools for the MRCGP Applied Knowledge Test, on a recurring subscription billed in GBP. The service is owned and operated by MRCGP Revision Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17267291). You must read and accept these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy notice before an account can be created.

Anonymous result comparisons

Progress and peer-comparison tools depend on combining members’ practice results. By creating an account, you agree that your scores may be used to calculate anonymous cohort statistics. The persisted comparison snapshot contains score buckets and counts, not names, email addresses or user IDs, and comparisons are not displayed for very small cohorts. This processing is a required part of the account service and is not an optional Account preference. If you do not accept it, do not create an account; you may delete an existing account and its underlying learning history at any time.

Membership and eligibility

A subscription is personal to you: one account per person, and you must be at least 18 years old. Do not share your login details or let anyone else use your account — each user needs their own membership.

Billing, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle, and your payment method is charged at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; access then continues to the end of the paid period. Cancelling does not refund fees already paid.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds, full or partial, for unused subscription time — including time left unused because a subscription was not cancelled promptly, or because your exam or results date falls within a billing cycle. Please cancel before your renewal date if you no longer need access.

Instant access and the cooling-off period

So that you can use the content the moment you subscribe, you agree that we supply digital content immediately and you waive the 14-day cancellation right that would otherwise apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Without this waiver, you would have to wait 14 days after subscribing before we could give you access.

Our content and your licence

The questions, fact sheets, reference cards, courses and other materials on AKT Revision are the property of MRCGP Revision Limited. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own revision, and nothing more: they may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, sold or used to build derivative products without our written permission.

Educational use only

All content is for exam revision. It is not clinical advice, and it must not be used to make decisions about patient care. Guidance changes: always verify against current published guidance (NICE, SIGN, BNF and the other cited sources) before acting on anything you read here. Where content cites a source, the citation is provided so you can check it.

AI tutor

The AI tutor is a revision aid and can make mistakes. It uses reviewed AKT Revision material for guidance-dependent clinical details and may use general model knowledge for stable medical explanations. It is not a source of patient-specific advice. Do not enter patient-identifiable information, and verify clinical guidance against the current published source before relying on it.

If you hold the Unlimited AI add-on and an active Question Bank or Learn membership, the service creates a daily tutor update automatically each day, including a supportive update when the previous day was quiet. The scheduled process sends computed statistics about your effort, pace, Question Bank use and Learn progress to the configured AI API, then stores a concise Home update and a fuller Progress update in your account. It does not send your name or email in the prompt, and updates are revision guidance rather than an exam-result prediction or guarantee.

Fair use and content protection

Your subscription is personal. Sharing accounts, scraping, bulk-downloading or redistributing questions or fact sheets is not permitted and leads to account closure. Rate limits enforce this automatically.

No outcome guarantee

Readiness estimates, percentiles and scores are study aids derived from your own activity. They are not predictions or guarantees of exam performance.

Reporting problems

If you believe a question or fact sheet is wrong, use the report button beside it. Reported questions are withdrawn from circulation until reviewed. We may use or publish feedback you send us about the service.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available around the clock, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, and we are not liable for downtime, delays or data unavailability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MRCGP Revision Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service or its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; changes take effect when posted on this page, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute belongs to the courts of England and Wales. See also the legal disclaimer and privacy policy.
